Maureen ‘Mo’ Gabriel Weldon of Provincetown passed away unexpectedly on June 8, 2017. She was the partner of Gert Campbell.
She was born March 19, 1943 in Springfield, the daughter of Claire and the late Edward Weldon. A graduate of Cathedral High School in Springfield, following graduation Mo studied at the University of Michigan in Ann Arber to become an operating Room Technician.
Upon retirement, 20 years ago, she moved to Provincetown, an area she loved. She enjoyed travelling and was an avid reader, especially books dealing with politics and science. She also enjoyed spending many afternoons riding along with her best friend, Gail Gibbs of Pride Taxi. Mo will always be remembered for her kindness, generosity and quick-witted sense of humor.
In addition to her partner Gert, she is survived by her mother Claire Weldon, a brother Edward Weldon and sisters Valerie Eagen and Audrey Scanlon, as well as many nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her father Edward and brother Christopher Weldon.
She will be sorely missed by her Provincetown family including her loving four-legged pets.
At her request, services and burial will be private.
