William C. “W. C.” Seymour, 82, of Tifton passed away Saturday, June 17, 2017, at his residence. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mr. Seymour at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 19, 2017, at Oak Ridge Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest. The Rev. Landon Alberson will officiate.
Born April 3, 1935 in Tifton, Mr. Seymour was the son of the late James B. Seymour and Hazel Spinks Seymour. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Jewell Earnest Seymour, who died June 7, 2017; one brother; and one sister. Before retiring, he was employed at Kelley Manufacturing Company in Tifton. He was also a veteran of the United States Army.
Mr. Seymour is survived by two sons, Dean Seymour of Tifton and Chad Seymour of Omega; two brothers, Bobby Seymour and the Rev. Brantley Seymour, both of Tifton; ten grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
