David B. Fiske, 57

David B. Fiske, age 57, of Norton, formerly of Plainville passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, following injuries sustained while working in Plainville. He was the beloved husband of Suzanne E. (Baker) Fiske, to whom he was wed on June 1, 1996.
Born in Norwood, MA on November 12, 1959, He was a loving son of Edward W. and Mary T. (O’Grady) Fiske of Plainville.
David grew up in Plainville and was a 1978 graduate of King Phillip Regional High School. For the past thirty-one years, he proudly worked for his hometown, as a machine operator for the Plainville Department of Public Works.
His greatest joy in life was family and the love he showed toward his sons was immeasurable. David’s other passions in life were cars, and being a major fan of NASCAR and the New England Patriots.
David will always be remembered for his infectious smile and the way he made others around him happy. He truly had a “heart of gold”.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his devoted son Daniel D. Fiske of Norton and the late Richard L. Higgins, Jr. He was the dear brother of Mark E. Fiske of Plainville and Karen M. Fiske of Plainville. He was the loving uncle of many nieces and nephews including Brittany and her husband Orin, Brian, Jake, Allison, Chad, Eva, Ronnie, Josh and Wyatt, and the great uncle of Max. He was the adoring son-in-law of Stephanie Baker of Foxborough and the late Ronald Baker, who is survived by his wife Theresa. He was the cherished brother-in-law of Elaine Perry and her husband Allen of Plainville, Ronald Baker of New Hampshire and Matthew Baker of Florida.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend his funeral service on Tuesday, June 20th at 8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield. Burial will be held privately at the Timothy Plain Cemetery in Norton.
Visiting hours will be held prior to the services on Tuesday June 20th from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, David’s family has requested that donations in his memory be made to the Winslow Farm Animal Sanctuary, 37 Eddy St., Norton, MA 02776
