Obituary

John Pajak, age 87, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on June 14, 2017. John was born in Chicopee on Aug. 16, 1929 the son of the late Alexander and Bertha (Lentowski) Pajak. John served over 20 years retiring as Master Sergeant for the 104th National Guard Company C in Chicopee. John worked as a machine adjuster for Milton Bradley for over 30 years before he retired. He leaves his loving wife of 66 years, Gertrude (Lammer) Pajak of Chicopee; 2 daughters Susan Peloquin and her husband Rick “Rooster” of Holyoke and Debra Sorcinelli and her husband Bob of Agawam; 2 grandchildren Jeffrey Burns and his wife Kristin of Chicopee, and Christopher Burns and 2 beloved great grandchildren, Jordan and Lexus of Mountain Home, Idaho. John is predeceased by his 5 brothers Stanley, Joseph, Max, Walter, and Henry Pajak and 4 sisters Melo, Josie, Jane, and Helen. John was a loving uncle of many wonderful nieces & nephews. He also leaves his sister-in-law Freda Hucks of South Carolina and cousin Ziggy Letowski of Poland. John lived life to the fullest thorough simple pleasures; fishing, camping, gardening, CB radios, feeding his ducks & geese but most of all spending time with his family. Calling hours will be held on Tues., June 20, 2017 from 5:00-7:00 p.m at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee. A Funeral Service will be held on Wed., June 21st at 8:00 a.m from the funeral home followed by a 9:00 a.m in house prayer service. Burial will take place in the MA Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam for 10:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church, 400 Wilbraham Rd, Springfield, MA 01109.
