Carole Ratner Cushing of Boston passed away May 23 after a long battle with cancer.
Carole was born in Columbus, Ohio. She graduated from Columbus School for Girls, Ohio State University, and the Advanced Management Program of Harvard Business School. For over twenty-five years, she and her husband, Bryant Cushing, deceased, lived in Santa Monica, California and were management consultants specializing in problem solving for high-growth mergers and acquisition and turnaround companies in North America. She returned to Boston and founded Cushing Tour Tapes, audio walking tours; and the Colorfully Yours Pottery Shop. She represented Carlisle Collection and Rodan and Fields Skincare in Boston. Carole was a master bridge player, studied Japanese Ikebana flower arranging, and volunteered at Harvard Business School Association of Boston’s Community Action Partners program and St. Stephen’s After School Programs. She was a member of the MIT Enterprise Forum, the St Botolph Club, and Harvard Business School Association of Boston.
