Kenneth A. Franklin, 43 of New Bedford, MA died May 18, 2017 unexpectedly at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, MA.
Born in Cheverly, MD, the son of Fern R. Franklin and the late Eugene Posey, he lived in New Bedford, MA since 1999.
He was employed by Building 19 in New Bedford for several years.
Kenneth enjoyed coaching youth basketball.
Survivors include his mother; 2 sons and a daughter, Kenneth Franklin, Kendal Franklin and Kennedy Franklin; a step-daughter, Jayca Payne; 2 brothers, Wilton Jones and Terrance Franklin; a sister, Catrina Brown; 3 cousins who were more like his brothers, Levi Franklin, Jr., Larry Franklin and Lamont Franklin; a host of aunts and cousins.
He was the brother of the late Jr. Reed Franklin and the nephew of the late Levi and Lucy Franklin who raised him.
