Ronald F. Foley, Sr., 89, of Fairhaven died Thursday June 8, 2017 after a period declining health. He was the husband of Barbara A. (Lawton) Foley.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late John and Elizabeth (Cooney) Foley, he lived in New Bedford and Fairhaven all of his life.
Mr. Foley was a retired deep sea fisherman who loved his family and enjoyed playing pool and cribbage.
He is survived by his wife Barbara; four children, Ronald F. Foley, Jr. and his wife Linda, Robert C. Foley and his wife, Akiko, and Jane Foley, all of Fairhaven, and David B. Foley, Sr. and his wife Rose of Wilbraham; six grandchildren, Hollie Hamelin and her husband Greg, Jason M. Foley, David B. Foley, Jr. and his wife Aya, Laura M. Clark and her husband Brian, Amy L. Souza and her husband Jon, and William J. Foley and his partner Robin Stuart-Tilley; nine great-grandchildren, Vanessa L. Foley, Madison, Troy, and Scarlett Hamelin, Olivia and Aria Foley, Noah Sato, Kharis Souza, and Bodhi D. Clark; his Godchild, Alli Marie Torres; and nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Florence Hoffman, Mary Cleveland, Genevieve, Thomas, Stanley, James, and John Foley
