Carol A. (Lawrence) Williams, 71, of Dighton, passed away on Wednesday, June 14th, 2017 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Paul V. Williams, Sr.
Carol was the daughter of Alfred and Frances (Suite) Lawrence. She was raised in Dighton on her parent's farm and continued to live in the house her father built until the time of her death.
Carol was employed for many years at Taunton Cooperative Bank and then retired from the Bristol County Registry of Deeds. Upon retirement, Carol and Paul traveled the United States visiting lighthouses and other historic sites. Carol and Paul were true soul mates. An avid reader, she also greatly enjoyed spending time with her family.
Carol was the mother of Michelle Crompton of Raleigh, NC and step-mother to Paul's four children, James Williams of Raynham, Paul Williams, Jr. of Valdesta, GA, David Williams of Reedville, MA and Donna Williams of Dartmouth. She also leaves several nieces, nephews, and other close family members.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Saturday June 17th from 4:00 - 6:00pm at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton. Private cremation to follow.
