Rose “Ruby” Rainone, died, Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Greenwood Center in Warwick. She was the widow of Clement Rainone.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Agata (Palmisano) Catanzaro. She had been a volunteer at both the Cranston and North Providence Senior Centers for many years. Her hobbies including painting and reading, and she had a true passion for dancing. She had worked at the Abby Theatre and Trinity Reperatory Company.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary Lou Votto and her husband, William, of Cranston, and Jane Rainone Brown of Providence, as well as her beloved grandson, Kyle A. Votto of Cranston, and her sister, Aida Gemma of Providence. She is predeceased by her sisters, Mary Sutton, Anne Pittai, Connie Peterson and Barbara Breggia.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 7:00am from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 8:00 am in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 1804 Atwood Avenue, Johnston. Burial will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visitation Friday from 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Robert Bellarmine Food Pantry, 1804 Atwood Avenue, Johnston, RI 02919.
