WORCESTER___Petronella "Pat" (Bulonas) Sauro, 86, died peacefully at Notre Dame Longterm Care Center in Worcester on June 11, 2017. A long-time resident of Oxford, she was born and raised in Worcester, the youngest daughter of Stanley and Valerie P. (Chestney) Bulonas. She was a retiree of Worcester City Hospital, a volunteer at Buffumville Dam and a friend to all animals. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Sauro; her brother, Joseph Bulonas; and her sisters Frances Sarapas, Helen (Lennie) Cross, and Amelia (Millie) Thomas. She is survived by her nieces and nephews Valerie Nixon, Barbara Sarapas, Leonard Sarapas, Marina Stucky, Linda Saupe, Susan Meader, Patricia Cross, and Kenneth Thomas.
A calling hour will be held on Monday, June 19, 2017 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of the Notre Dame du Lac Assisted Living Facility, 555 Plantation St. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery.
