Fall River – Carol W. (Tripp) Oliver, 72, of Westport died Saturday, September 24, 2005 at Charlton Memorial Hospital after a long illness. She was the widow of Robert J. Oliver, Jr.
She was born in Dartmouth, daughter of the late William and Letitia F. (Graves) Tripp, and was a life long resident of Dartmouth and Westport. Mrs. Oliver was the previous owner of Bob’s Sport Shop in Westport and had worked at the Star Store in New Bedford. She was a member of the Dartmouth Grange. She enjoyed reading and embroidery and loved her pet animals.
She is survived by a son Robert J. Oliver III and his wife JoAnn of Westport; 1 brother: Clayton E. Tripp of Dartmouth; and 2 grandchildren: Tyler Griswold and Robert Snow.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Wednesday, September 28, 2005 at the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Road, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Tuesday 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 P.M.
Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
