Obituary

Joseph Anthony Mancini, loving father, caring son, cherished brother, and devout Christian, passed away early Saturday morning. Few that had the fortune to meet him, could resist his contagious smile and enthralling charm. His warmth and his love for life energized all he came in contact with. He is survived by his son Joshua, his mother Eleanor, his sisters Deborah, and Krystel, brother Stephen and his wife Maryann, his granddaughter Annabella, and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews, cousins, and countless dear friends who were touched by his light. He is predeceased by his father, David L. Mancini.
Prior to his passing Joe was working towards a career in drug and alcohol abuse counseling all the while providing care for his Mother whom he loved very deeply. Anyone that knew him knew how much he loved to laugh. The way he could light up a room. How much he desired to reach out and help others less fortunate than himself. He was a fervent Red Sox and Patriots fan. He enjoyed playing cards and taking trips to the casino. He was an enormous music lover both classic and contemporary. There's a quote that we believe Joey would agree with, one from a favorite artist of his, Frank Sinatra' " I would like to be remembered as a man who had a wonderful time living life, a man who had good friends, and fine family – and I don’t think I could ask for anything more than that." We know you are in a better place with your Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Though you are no longer with us, the light of your flame burns with us for eternity. You will be deeply missed.
A private memorial will be held for him at Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester on Friday, June 16th, from 2 - 5pm. In lieu of flowers we ask that any donations be made to the Salvation Army.
