Garland, Mary Colleen (deSchuytner) of Natick Massachusetts. June 7, 2017. Age 58. Formerly of Beaumont, TX and Dover, NH. Beloved wife of Edward R “Ted” Garland for 33 years. Devoted mother of Shannon N. Lovley, Roger R. Garland, Madison V. Garland and the late Chelsea T. Garland. Sister of Kevin deSchuytner, Anne Metcalf, Maureen Wade, Patrick deSchuytner, Joseph deSchuytner, Catherine Craig, Thomas deSchuytner and the late Victor deSchuytner II. She also leaves many cherished nieces and nephews. Daughter of the late Victor R. deSchuytner and Johanna L. (Masterson) deSchuytner.
Mary attended St. Thomas Aquinas High School and St. Anselm College. She was a bookkeeper at the Seven Hills Charter Public School in Worchester and previously at Weston Public Schools. She taught sewing and Embroidery at Ann’s Fabrics in Canton, MA and had been a teaching representative for Designs in Machine Embroidery of Dallas, TX. She was a beacon for small children who needed extra care, love and laughter. A memorial service will be held at the Wellesley Hills Congregational Church, 207 Washington St, Wellesley, MA on Wednesday, June 14th at 4:30PM.
