Obituary

Celeste L.(Introini) Embree, 67, of Franklin passed away June 7th surrounded by her family. She passed away from ALS bought on by Lyme Disease.

Born and raised in Framingham, she graduated from Framingham South High School. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Framingham State University and her Master’s Degree from California State University, Long Beach. She spent over 30 years teaching English at South Torrance High School in California and locally at Hopkinton High School.

If you don’t believe in angels, you never met Celeste. As the most selfless being, she dedicated her entire life to her family. She was always giving and never taking. She loved her family fiercely and loved life. After retirement, Celeste enjoyed traveling, quilting, painting, and loved animals. She dreamed of traveling the world. Her favorite thing, however, was to be surrounded by her family, especially her grandchildren. They brought her so much joy and she brightened their lives. Her heart was bigger than her body could hold. Her smile was infectious and her eyes could light up a room. She will be painfully missed.

Celeste is survived by her husband Howard of 46 years, her father Eligio Introini of Framingham and her brother Davide Introini of Gilford, New Hampshire. She is predeceased by her mother Viola, who greeted her in heaven along with her most beloved furry companion Mollie. She leaves behind three daughters, Jennifer (husband Aviv) Kaufmann and their three children (Grace, Emma, and Adam), Jaime (husband Brian) Chung and their four children (Mia, Madi, Millie, and Brody), and Jodie (husband Craig) Shiosaki and their three children (Colton, Carter, and one to be born in the fall).

A mass celebrating the life of Celeste will be held June 15th at St. Mary’s Church in Franklin at 10:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her name to Lymedisease.org at their website or by mail: P.O. Box 1352, Chico, CA 95927 or any other organization that contributes to the research between Lyme Disease and ALS. Arrangements are under the care of the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com).
