Jewell Earnest Seymour, 76, of Tifton passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at the Rehabilitation Center of South Georgia in Tifton. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mrs. Seymour at 4:00 p.m. Friday, June 9, 2017, at Oak Ridge Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest. The Rev. Landon Alberson will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday, June 9, 2017, from 2:30 p.m. until the hour of the service at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Born November 8, 1940 in Seminole County, Mrs. Seymour was the daughter of the late Hoke Earnest and Vera White Earnest. She was also preceded in death by one sister and one brother. Before retiring, she had worked in the hospital cafeteria, Piggly Wiggly and Food Max. She was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church in Donalsonville.
Mrs. Seymour is survived by her husband, William C. Seymour of Tifton; two sons, Dean Seymour of Tifton and Chad Seymour of Omega; two brothers, Bo Earnest and Bill Earnest, both of Donalsonville; ten grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
