WHITE, Margaret A. (Narsiff) age 82, of Dedham, beloved wife of the late Stephen F. White Jr. passed away on June 6, 2017 after a lengthy illness. Devoted mother to her three children: Linda White of Dedham, Daniel White of Hudson and Stephen White III of Dedham, she is also survived by her brother John Narsiff and his wife Mary of Biddeford, ME, their six children Christina, Catherine, Cynthia, John, William and Robert, and nieces Susan Schuyler (Nelson) and Debra Nelson. Known to her friends and family as Marge, or "Baby", she was born on July 24, 1934 to parents John and Margaret Narsiff in West Roxbury, MA where she grew up surrounded by her extended Syrian family. She was a graduate of Roslindale High School, was married to Stephen F. White of Biddeford, ME in May of 1955 and resided in West Roxbury until 1967 when she and her family moved to Dedham, where she had been residing ever since. Marge was well known in the Dedham community, was involved in the school committee, advanced the needs for special education, and worked as a secretary in the Capen Elementary School. She recently retired from her last job at American Fiduciary Corp. in Needham in 2015.
Marge spent the fondest times of her life with her family at Hills Beach in Maine, which was a special place for her. She loved the ocean, summertime, Old Orchard Beach and Camp Ellis, and fishing. She was a benefactor and player in community theater groups in Dedham and Sharon, loved all of her pet rescue animals from the MSPCA, and was a devout fan of the Boston Red Sox and the Dallas Cowboys.
Visiting hours will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St. Dedham on Saturday, June 10, from 4-8pm followed by a prayer service in the funeral home at 7:30pm. Interment private.
