Edward E. Pare
Manchester– Edward E. Pare, 79, died June 4, 2017 surrounded by his family at Villa Crest Nursing Home following a brief illness.
He was born in Epping, NH on October 9, 1937 the son of Ernest and Antoinette (Jean) Pare.
Edward went to Manchester West High School and studied at New England College.
He spent 13 years as a member of the Army Reserve 11th Special Forces and was a member of the Special Forces Association. He was a paratrooper and referred to his eventual passing as “Going to meet the jumpmaster in the sky”.
He worked as an industrial engineer at several large manufacturing companies in New Hampshire and Illinois.
Ed maintained his independence after a severe stroke and lived in his own apartment for 4 years.
Despite his illness he felt he had 75 good years of life.
Family members include1 son, Edward E. Pare Jr. and his wife, Carol , 1 grandson, Tyler Pare, all of New Smyrna Beach, FL.., 3 sisters, Joan Pinard and her husband, Real of Manchester, Claudette Fucci of Colorado Springs, CO., Susan Samon and her husband, Peter of Manchester, and several nieces, nephews aunts, uncles and cousins.
Calling hours will be on Thursday from 6 to 8 pm at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10 am in St. Anthony Church., Belmont St.
Committal prayers will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Future in Sight, 25 Walker St., Concord NH 03301, or to the American Cancer Society, 2 Commerce Dr., Bedford NH 03110.
