RUSSELL, William June 5, 2017. Beloved son of the late Walter F. and Charlotte (Parker) Russell. Cherished brother of the late Dorothy Connolly, Walter L. Russell, Virginia Mulligan, Robert E. Russell, Lorraine Guenther, and Eleanor Wipfler. Survived by many loving nieces and nephews. He was the lifelong partner of the late Kathleen LeBaron and remained close throughout his life to her daughter and his dear friend Chris LeBaron. Veteran of WWII. Worked for many years as a builder for the family construction company. Member of New England Carpenters Union. He was kind and quirky, smart and sweet and a bit of a prankster. His little smile and bright blue eyes will be missed always, but particularly at the holidays. During family parties, he always found the perfect spot to watch the family show; he never missed a thing. His yard was brimming with blueberries and raspberries and he fought (and usually won) a valiant battle with the local beaver out back on the unusual piece of land he called home. He will be dearly missed. Relatives and friends are invited to a graveside service with Military Honors on Monday, June 12 at 11 am at the Wood End Cemetery, 40 Franklin Street Reading, MA.
