Obituary

Pauline M. (Tutela) MacDougall, a lifelong resident of Charlestown entered into eternal life on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at her son's home in Melrose following a courageous battle with cancer. She was 69 years old.

Pauline was born in Boston on February 7, 1948, a daughter of the late Americo V. Tutela and Ellen (Moriarty) Tutella. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Charlestown High School. Pauline had been working as a 911 operator for the Boston Police Department for over 20 years until her illness forced her to retire. Pauline enjoyed and loved all the quality moments she was able to spend with her family.

Pauline is the beloved wife of the late John F. MacDougall. She is the devoted mother of Francis MacDougall and his fiancé Michelle Kelley, Shawn MacDougall, Jacqueline MacDougall and Ray Costa and the late Clinton MacDougall. She is the loving Nana to Ray Jr., John Joseph, Patrick and Francis. She is the sister of the late Ralph Tutela. She is also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews and her beloved dog Candy.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Pauline's Funeral on Friday, June 9, 2017 at 9 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 10 A.M. Her burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. Her visiting hours will be on Thursday, June 8, 2017 from 4 to 8 P.M. in the funeral home.
