Obituary

Mrs. Jeannie Baker Brown, 68, beloved wife of Lloyd Brown, passed on to be with her Savior on Thursday, June 1, 2017 after a short, but courageous battle with leukemia. Surrounded by her children, she passed peacefully and is now, as her grandson said, “partying it up with Jesus”.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at The Sanctuary with the Rev. Bryan Cockrell officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.

Jeannie was born in Charleston, S.C. on July 14, 1948. She graduated from the Academy of Richmond County in 1965. She worked hard her entire adult life, mainly in the banking industry. For the past 20 years, she was the smiling face that greeted customers at University Hospital Federal Credit Union.

If Jeannie knew you, she loved you. She loved Jesus because He loved her first. She loved her church, her friends and her family with all of her being. Jeannie will be greatly missed, but we do not grieve as those without hope. We know death does not win, but has been defeated in the resurrection of the King.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Lloyd, her mother, Betty Mae Baker, her children; Kim Nagy (Mark) and Daniel McKinney (Stephanie), her brother, Lee Baker (Paula), her sister, Teresa Garner (Tom), and her grandchildren; Karen Nagy, Luke Nagy, Josh McKinney, Emma McKinney, Elijah McKinney and Lili McKinney. She also leaves behind many friends and loved ones
.
Honorary pallbearers will be Luke Nagy, Josh McKinney, Eli McKinney, Byron Davis, David Baker and Reid Scott.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Sanctuary for missions and senior projects, 4584 Cox Road, Evans, Georgia, 30809.
