BRADSHAW, Marcella Jeane (Wickenhauser) 92, of Dover, MA, died Thursday, June 1, 2017, at Mary Ann Morse Healthcare Center. Marcella was born January 13, 1925, in Alton, Illinois the fourth of five children of John and Mae (McIntosh) Wickenhauser. She graduated Alton High school and then attended school to become a nurse. After obtaining her degree, she worked at St. Lukes Hospital in St. Louis where 3 of her 4 children were born. She began a long distance relationship with her future husband Melvin Bradshaw while he was in the Navy during WWII. They were married in June after he returned from service and spent a long life together until Mel’s death in January of 1991. Marcella was happiest when spending time at her home in Cape Cod overlooking the ocean. She enjoyed painting, gardening, boat rides, fireworks, and spending time with her family. She loved nature and animals, in particular her favorite cat Chauncy.
She is remembered by her 4 children, Beth (Bradshaw) Thompson, Kimberly (Bradshaw) Britt, Dana (Bradshaw) Reinhard and Bruce Bradshaw. She is also remembered by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral Mass Tuesday, June 6 at Most Precious Blood Church, 30 Centre St., Dover at 1:00pm. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment in Highland Cemetery, Dover.
