Claire D. (Messier) Economos, 93, of New Bedford passed away Thursday June 1, 2017 at Sacred Heart Home. She was the wife of the late Charles Economos.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Alexander and Alma (Lauzier) Messier, she lived in New Bedford all of her life. She was a communicant of Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish.
Mrs. Economos loved traveling on many trips with her husband and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Giovannini and Caryn Pedro and her husband James, both of New Bedford; six grandchildren, Jeffrey, Kristen, and Leigh Ann Giovannini, and Derek, Ryan, and Kevin Pedro; and four great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Nicolas Giovannini, Avery Richard, and Willow Pedro.
Her Funeral will be held on Tuesday at 8 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by her Funeral Mass at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church at 9 AM.
