Jeannette M. Lusignan, 93, died at Morton Hospital in Taunton, Massachusetts on Monday May 22, 2017. She was the loving wife of the late Normand J. Lusignan. They were married for over 45 years at the time of his passing in 1988.
Born in Central Falls, she was a daughter of the late Louis Z. and Rose (Chapelaine) Guevremont. She was raised in Central Falls and over the years resided in Manville, Greenville and Lincoln. She recently lived in Taunton for the past 2 years.
Mrs. Lusignan worked at Texas Instruments in Attleboro and was also employed at American Cord Company in Ashton for many years before retiring.
Jeannette was a loving and outgoing person. In her earlier years she was a noted local entertainer along with her father. She loved to dance and could always be counted upon to be the life of the party. Jeannette had the ability to light up a room by her presence.
She is survived by two sons Richard R. Lusignan and his wife, Paula, of Oklahoma and Roger L. Lusignan and his wife, Patricia, of Taunton, MA. She was the sister of the late Armand, Leo and Eugene Guevremont, Leona Remington and Rita Noury. She is also survived by her granddaughter Dawn, 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and their families.
Her funeral service will be at noon on Wednesday June 7, 2017 in the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 71 Central St. Manville. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Manville. Visiting hours are from 10:30 – noon prior to the service.
