Manchester– Pearl (Bernier) Moody, 82, passed away on May 27, 2017 at Hackett Hill Healthcare Center after a period of declining health.

She was born on November 12, 1934 to Antoine and Jeannine (Paquin) Bernier of Manchester, NH. Pearl attended Central High School in Manchester and when of age joined the United States Army. While serving her country, she discovered her love of cooking and even had a chance to see one of her favorite musicians, Elvis, perform!

Pearl had the joy of being the proud owner and operator of Grammy’s Restaurant in Auburn, NH which was often filled with family and friends enjoying her delicious meals until its close in 1993.
Pearl was most at ease dressed in leopard print with a coffee in hand and a cigarette in the other, laughing with friends and family, surrounded by her beloved animals.

She was predeceased by her first born daughter, Debra (Alden) Greene in 2004 and her husband, Charles R Moody Sr. in 2009.

Pearl was survived by her two daughters, Lisa Sarette and fiancé John Wallace of Manchester, Dawna Malouin and husband Todd Malouin of Bedford and son, Anthony deRepentigny of Manchester as well as her stepchildren, Kathy Tibbetts, Debbie Duval, Charles Moody Jr. and Lisa Bedard. She also leaves behind many loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins as well as several great-grandchildren who had the luck to have Pearl in their lives.

As an animal lover, we know Pearl would love for donations to be made to the NHSPCA c/o 104 Portsmouth Ave., Stratham NH 03885 in her name.
