Obituary

Robert J. Keohane, 74, died at the Caritas St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston on Wednesday, September 21 after a period of failing health. He was the husband of Barbara A. (Doherty) Keohane. Born in Brockton, Mr. Keohane graduated from Cathedral High School in Boston, Class of 1948. He was a resident of Brockton for 36 years after growing up in Stoughton. Mr. Keohane was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was the Plant Superintendent at Stoughton Elastic Web, where he worked for 38 years before retiring at age 58. After his retirement Mr. Keohane worked as a Funeral Assistant at the Farley Funeral Home in Stoughton. He was a member of the AMVETS Post 1977 and the Knights of Columbus both in Stoughton. In his free time he enjoyed music, reading and watching the Patriots.

In addition to his wife Barbara, Mr. Keohane is survived by his sister, Barbara Gusciora of Stoughton and his niece, Joanne Gusciora of Stoughton. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Edith Stein Church, Brockton at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday 3-6 PM. Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Brockton.
