TIVERTON – Alfred J. Rapoza Jr., age 65 of Tiverton, passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 unexpectedly at home. He was the son of the late Alfred J. & Lillian (Pacheco) Rapoza. Prior to retiring, Alfred worked at Gold Medal Bakery, and previously for Duro Finishing. He volunteered at the “Ronald McDonald House” in Providence, loved his cooking club with special friends. He was an avid collector of many things, loved bingo, visiting Casinos, and a very avid fan of the Washington Redskins and the Boston Red Sox. Alfred loved his dog “Charlie” and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his siblings: Veronica Vargas (husband John) of The Villages, FL, Paul Rapoza (wife Doreen) of Westport, MA, Gary Rapoza (wife Brenda) of Holderness, NH, the late Arlene Correia (husband Joseph of Fall River), the late Laureen Marie Rapoza (husband Richard of Tiverton), Kevin J. Rapoza (wife Judy of Tiverton); 2 godchildren; many nieces & nephews, great nieces & nephews, also his aunt Mary & uncle Joseph Souza & many cousins.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Saturday at 8:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Theresa’s Church, Tiverton at 10:00 A.M. Interment in Pocasset Hill Cemetery, Tiverton.
