Janet Mincey Brockett Spires, 50, of Tifton passed away Sunday, May 28, 2017, at Phoebe-Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany. A graveside funeral service will be held for Ms. Spires at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 1, 2017, at Oak Ridge Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest. The Rev. Ben Reeves will officiate.
Born May 16, 1967 in Tifton, Ms. Spires was the daughter of the late Jack Eugene Mincey and Mary Lizzie Harden Mincey. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Howard Brockett. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and had lived in Tifton for the past 25 years.
Ms. Spires is survived by one son, Keith Brockett of Carrollton; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Brian and Shirley Mincey of Eldorado, Stacey Mincey of Kelltown and Eugene and Diane Mincey of Sumner; and one sister, Lea Mincey of Ashburn.
