Obituary

Grace Rubiano, 79, of Carl Avenue, North Providence, died Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Fatima Hospital in North Providence. She was the beloved wife of Joseph Rubiano. They would have celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on June 6th.

Born in Vieste, Foggia, Italy, she was a daughter of the late Carmine and Angela Vescera. She had lived in North Providence since 1969.

She was a member of Incoronata di Foggia Society and the Women’s San Biagio Society. She was a fabulous cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family, as well as spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her children: Daniel J. Rubiano and his wife, Cecile of Smithfield, Angela A. Galasso and her husband, Andrew of Royal Palm Beach, FL, Joseph T. Rubiano, Jr. and his wife, Toni of Royal Palm Beach, FL and Steven C. Rubiano of Jupiter, FL, her ten grandchildren: Daniel J., Jr., Joseph V., Anthony L., Joseph T, III, Christina, Jenna, Adriana A., Michael A., Brandon S. and Zackary S. Rubiano and her brother, Oronzo “Ronnie” Vescera and his wife Giovanna “Joanne” of Smithfield. She was the sister of the late Vittoria, Vincenzo and Anna Vescera and Pasqualina Romano.

Funeral Thursday at 8:00 am from the Anderson-Winfield Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. A Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be at 9:30am in Holy Ghost Church, 472 Atwells Avenue, Providence. Visitation Wednesday 4-7pm. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Rhode Island Chapter
