Jason Leroy Bales, 61, Middletown, died following a sudden heart attack on, Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital.
Jason was born January 18, 1956 in Portland, In the son of Roy and Rosa (Stephen) Bales, Jr.
He was employed by Hoosier Park in Security and previously worked 30 years at Borg Warner.
He was a member of East Side Church of God. He was a beekeeper and enjoyed chess, fishing, and yard work.
Jason survived by his wife of 8 wonderful God blessed months, Paula (Mitchell) Nevins of Middletown, IN , mother, Rosa (Stephen) Bales of Muncie, two sisters, Shirley (Dave) Applegate of Yorktown, Diana (Rollie) Bell of Muncie, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Bales, Jr.
Service will take place at noon on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at East Side Church of God; 2600 East 5th Street; Anderson, Indiana, with Rev. Glen Cox officiating. Burial will follow in East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the service at the church.
Memorial contributions may be given to East Side Church of God for Paula's mission trip to Belize.
