Marilyn Jean Hilliard, 81, of Derry, NH, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017, in Pleasant Valley Nursing Home, Derry. She was born in Kittery, ME on August 11, 1935, a daughter of Lester and Audrey (Judkins) Gerry, and had been a resident of Derry for the past 52 years, formerly living in Manchester and Kittery Point, ME. Marilyn enjoyed camping, knitting, crocheting and was an avid reader.
She is survived by her son, Michael E. Hilliard and his wife Beverly; two grandsons, Ian Hilliard and his wife Brittney and Jayson Hilliard and his wife Brandi and three great-grandchildren Deegan, Tyler, and Sophia. Marilyn is predeceased by her beloved husband, Donald E. Hilliard and her sister Dawn Hodgdon.
Calling hours were held on Saturday, May 27, 2017 from 9am to 11am in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry. Funeral services followed at 11:00am in the funeral home. The burial was on Tuesday, May 30th at 10:00am in Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry Road, E. Derry. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01710.
