Nelida “Abuela” Rodriguez was born in Coamo, P.R. on April 6th, 1936. At a very young age she met her one true love, the late Isabelo Rodriguez. Later they married and sought to create a better life for their family and settled in Boston, MA. She is survived by her 11 beautiful children, 17 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Not only was she a dedicated mother who worked hard to provide for her family, she was selfless, courteous and always giving and devoted to her friends, community and church. Nelida left an imprint of who she was in everyone she met in her life.
Her smile was always infectious and her sense of humor to match. She always received everyone with open arms even up to the very last moments of her life with us.
Mom/Abuela - we will always be thankful and cherish your gift of life, know that we will carry it forward. You will forever and for all time be in our hearts until we meet again.

Visiting Hours will be held on Thursday May 25, 2017 from 4pm - 7pm at the Casper Funeral Home located at 187 Dorchester Street in South Boston.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Patrick's Church at 10 Magazine Street in Roxbury on Friday, May 26th at 10am followed by interment at Fairview Cemetery.
