Miss Elvira J. Smith, 102, of Dartmouth died Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at home. Born in South Westport, she was daughter of the late James and Lula (Wilkins) Smith and sister of the late Esther E. Cabral. A graduate of Westport High School Class of 1932, she also attended Thibodeau Business College. Prior to retirement, she worked for several years at E.L. Fisher & Company and for 49 years at Greens Storage Warehouse in Fall River. An active member of the Pacific Union Congregational Church, Westport and a member of the Westport Historical Society, she also enjoyed gardening and doing yard work.
She is survived by several cousins.
Graveside service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport at 11:00 A.M.
