Philip C. Winin passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at the age of 65.
Born in Fitchburg, MA he was the son of the late Walter Winin and Jeannette Christian Winin. Phil will forever be in the hearts of his wife, Linda Winin and their daughter Kirsten Winin. He is also survived by his sister, Marie Trent of Leominster, MA, his mother-in-law Mary Casaceli of Hudson, MA his sister-in laws and brother-in-laws, Janet and Dennis Perlot of Tolland, CT. and Richard and Barbara Casaceli of Hudson, MA and nieces and nephews, Jacob, Nicole, Joshua, Robert, and Leigh.
Phil took his walk in the woods every day, whether it was a local hike, climbing Wachusett Mountain or Mount Manadnock, scaling the peaks of the White Mountains in New Hampshire, or forging new ground in Baxter State Park in Maine. The woods and mountains fed his soul and refueled his spirit.
A Hudson High School hockey and football player, and later a dedicated triathlete, he maintained a focus of physical activity all his life. He always incorporated movement into work and leisure. Phil proved time and time again that his strength, will power, and ability to focus on mental and physical health improved his life style. He was a source of inspiration to others, especially his daughter, Kirsten.
His craftsmanship was apparent in all he did from custom masonry, to cooking, to building computers, to working on his vehicles. His workmanship always spoke perfection, enthusiasm, and whole-hearted dedication. He especially enjoyed road trips, traveling, and conversing with many people.
