Luigi Laurino, age 90, a long-time Medford resident, passed away peacefully at the Winchester Nursing Center. Born and raised in Riesi, Sicily, Italy, he was the son of the late Giuseppe and Giuseppina Laurino. He and his wife Florence came to the United States in 1960 and lived in the North End before settling in Medford. A hardworking man who provided well for his family, he worked in the construction industry as a member of Local 151, before he retired. He was a member of the Saint Joseph Society in the North End for many years. Luigi was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed by all who knew him.
The beloved husband of Florence (Parisi), Luigi was a devoted father to Joseph Laurino and his wife Karen of Winthrop, Vincent Laurino of Medford, Josephine Norton and her husband Michael J. Norton of Medford. He was a loving grandfather to Sophia, Patrick and Michael.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Friday May 26th from 10 to 11 AM, followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, at 11:30 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
