WEST BOYLSTON-Richard A. Buron, 74, passed away Sunday, May 21.
He leaves his wife of 52 years, Anna (DePatsy) Buron; two sisters, Janet Connor and her husband, Steven of Webster and Judy Shamaly and her husband, Peter of Worcester; five nieces, Amanda Connor, Joan Dubeau and her husband, Christopher, Jodie Luksha and her husband, Timothy, Kali Shamaly and Shannon Shamaly; four nephews, James DePatsy and his wife, Dawn, Sean Connor, Jake Shamaly and Luke Shamaly; two great-nieces, Heather and Shannen Luksha; a great nephew, Liam Dubeau and his faithful dog, Charlie. He was born in Worcester, son of Wilfrid and Rose (Smith) Buron.
Richard was a supervisor for American Polymers for nine years, retiring in 2003, prior to that he worked for Reed Plastics for 35 years. He also worked alongside his brother-in-law, Thomas DePatsy for many years doing masonry work. He was a member and Eucharistic Minister at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church. Richard enjoyed, fishing, gardening and taking trips to the casino. During the summer months he loved being in his backyard, tending to his pool and watching his nieces and nephews swim.
A Funeral will be held Saturday, May 27 from FAY BROTHERS Funeral Home, 1 West Boylston Street with a Mass at 10:00am in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 111 Worcester Street. Burial will be in Mount Vernon Cemetery. Visiting Hours are Friday, May 26, from 4:00 to 7:00pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to Richard’s church, a place he so loved.
