Richard “Goose” Gosselin, age 79, of Fall River, passed away on Saturday May 20, 2017. Born in Fall River he was the son of the late Albert and Alexandrina (Raulino) Gosselin, and the husband of the late Pauline (Robitaille) Gosselin. He was a Foreman at Lightolier for 38 1/2 years before retiring in 1997. He played many sports especially in the greater Fall River Fastpitch Softball League as a pitcher in the 1960’s, was a ten pin bowler and in his later years enjoyed golfing and playing handball.
He is survived by his sons; Richard Gosselin Jr. (wife Kristin), and Paul Gosselin, grandchildren; Jessica Gosselin, and Sherri Constantino, great grandchildren Rylee, Mckinley, and Preston, and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Albert Gosselin.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Friday here at 8:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial St. Anne’s Church at 9:30 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours on Thursday from 4-8 P.M.
