Phyllis M. (Bowser) Lynne, 96, of Abington, passed away on May 20, 2017 at Life Care Center of West Bridgewater. She was the wife of the late Chester C. Lynne.
She was a life-long resident of Abington, graduating high school in 1939. Phyllis worked at Filene's in Braintree and volunteered at the South Shore Hospital.
Her hobbies included gardening, needlework, and reading. She especially enjoyed camping at Fresh Pond, Manomet, canoeing and fishing with her husband.
She was a daughter of the late E. Evelyn (Damon) and J. William Bowser. She is survived by her sister Elaine Hudson of Stoughton, sister-in-law Lillian Bowser of Plymouth and seven nieces and nephews and their families and many cousins. She was the sister of the late Robert L. Bowser of Plymouth.
Her funeral service will be held on Thursday May 25th at 12:00PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St. (Rte. 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman. Burial will follow in the Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Visitation will be held prior to her service from 10AM-12PM
