Rosemarie (Esperance) Gentillon of Cambridge died on Tuesday, May 16, at the Cambridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born and raised in Chardonniere, Haiti, she was the daughter of the late Idavy and Roselia (Delva) Esperance.
Rosemarie was the beloved wife of the late Osner Gentillon, and the devoted mother of Marie Allien and her husband Robert, Pierre Gentillon, Marie Jeanine (Gentillon) Joseph, Oswald Gentillon, and RoseAnn Gentillon. She was the loving grandmother of Kettelie, Serge, Natacha, Carl and the late Raynald Allien, Peter-Lee Gentillon Laraque and family, Oswald Gentillon Jr. and family, Ruth Gentillon, Nadine Gentillon Jean-Baptiste and family, Jean Robert Gentillon, Beatrice Roseme, and Daschka Francois. Rosemarie was the loving great grandmother of D'Ana Spears, Rayne' Allien , Serge Allien Jr. Aaron J. Allien, Kenny Allien and family, Andrew Allien, Isabella Allien, Gabriella Allien, Levi Allien, Kenny-Lee Laraque, Yves Sterbens Jean-Baptiste, Stacy Jean-Baptiste, Michael, Sarah, Prince and Priscille Gentillon, Wildensky K.R. Cineus, Ruthney Lee Aravna Cineus, Shekinah Chery, Leticia Mishkan Chery, Noah Robertson Gentillon and Jason Franky Elysse, and great great grandmother of Andrew Allien Jr. She is also survived by her brother Pierre Verdieu.
A funeral service will be conducted in the Boston Missionary Baptist Church, 336 Dudley St., Roxbury, on Saturday, May 27 at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family at church from 9 through 10 AM. Services will conclude with entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
