Elizabeth Chapman Wisda, 84, beloved wife of 65 years of Emil Wisda, entered into rest on Friday, May 19, 2017 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, May 22, 2017 at Platt’s Crawford Avenue Chapel with Chaplain Dexter Lambert officiating. Interment to follow at Westover Memorial Park.
Mrs. Wisda was born in Morgantown, West Virginia to the late John and Pauline Chapman. She worked in several hospitals across the country as her and her husband traveled during his military career. Mrs. Wisda retired from University Hospital in Augusta where she worked in the Plant Engineering Department. She was artistic and creative and loved spending time traveling.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Wisda is survived by her children, Linda Wisda (Robert Jackson), Barbara Mendez, and John Wisda (Darlene); her sisters, Belva Honse and Luanne Styer (John); her grandchildren, Chris Cloy (Jennifer), Dr. Jessica McCoy (Matt), Kevin Cloy, Jake Jackson, Dean Jackson, Melanie Solomon (Chris), Tammy Huguenin, and Daniel Mendez; and by her ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Paula Cloy, and by three sisters, Betty, Lorraine, and Gladys.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until service time on Monday.
