GILFORD - Lois J. Gleeson, 87, of Potter Hill Road, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Concord Hospital.
She was born on January 26, 1930 in Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter of the late Herman and Abigail (Bevan) Zeyen. Lois was a longtime resident of Gilford. She was a phenomenal gardener, a wonderful florist and an avid reader. A lover of life, her family always came first and was everything to her. Her happiest moments in life were spent in her many gardens planting seeds and caring for them as they bloomed, just as she had done raising and caring for her children. Her proudest moments were watching her children as they bloomed and became gardens of their own.
She is survived by her two sons; Steven and Michael Gleeson, four daughters; Linda Daneski, Kristina M. Gleeson, Dianna Gleeson and her spouse Lisa and Debbie Barros, one brother, David Zeyen, seven grandchildren; Jennifer Michaelsen, Brian Daneski, Lindsey Dirth, Meghan Bushong, Ashley Gleeson, Chelsea Gleeson and Adam Gleeson and ten great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held from 6PM to 8PM on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, using the Carriage House entrance.
Graveside services will be privately held at Pine Grove Cemetery in Gilford.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
