John P. Rezendes, a longtime Woburn resident formerly of Burlington passed away peacefully, May 18, 2017 at the Bear Hill Nursing Center following a lengthy period of declining health. He was 81 years of age. He was the beloved husband of Susan (Fisher) Rezendes. Born in Warwick, RI he was the son of the late Manuel and Georgianna (Rezendes).
John will fondly be remembered for his devotion to his children and family. He worked for many years as a talented machinist and welder. He loved people always joking and teasing and bringing joy to whoever he was with. He also loved to work in his yard, gardening and was very talented artist and could draw anything especially cartoons.
In addition to his beloved wife Susan, He is survived by his children, Kristen J. Rezendes of Woburn, John Rezendes of Mashpee, MA, Jeffery Rezendes of West Bridgewater, MA, Robin Lavornia of North Kingstown, RI, and Russell Rezendes of Gardner, MA. He was the loving stepfather of James Lindsay of Woburn, MA, John W. Lindsay of Aroura, CO and the late Barbara J. Ramos. He is also survived by 4 loving grandchildren and 4 loving great grandchildren. Brother of Dorothy Tedeschi of Warwick, RI, Earnest Rezendes of Warwick, RI, Amelia Nolan of Virginia, the late Manuel and Frank Rezendes.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to gather at the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, MA, Tuesday, May 23rd form 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 12 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
