Vicenta Gloria Hernandez Ureno, 72, of Fillmore, passed away at her home on Tuesday evening, May 16, 2017 with her loving family by her side.
Gloria was born in Ermita de los Correa, Zacatecas, Mexico and was a Ventura County resident for the past 45 years.
She was a citrus packer for 37 years. Gloria was a single mother that raised five children. She was always a very happy person and enjoyed traveling, singing, and dancing, and she was devoted to her family.
Gloria is survived by her sons: Jose Caldera, of Fillmore, Alex Caldera and his wife Beatriz, of Fillmore; her daughters: Maria Cruz Caldera, of Fillmore, Maura Gomez Caldera and her husband Cristobal, of Fillmore, Rosa Caldera and her husband Carlos Munoz, of Fillmore; her brothers: Modesto Hernandez Ureno, of Mexico, Juan Hernandez Ureno, of Fillmore; her sister, Paula Colunga, of Los Angeles; and her grandchildren: Cristobal, Erene, Omero, Roman, Mayra, Victoria, and Aaron.
A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 19, 2017 in the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE, 757 E. Main Street, Ventura. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 20, 2017 in Sacred Heart Church, 10800 Henderson Avenue, Ventura. Burial will follow at Santa Clara Cemetery, Oxnard. Friends may visit at the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE, 757 E. Main Street, Ventura from 4:00 p.m. on Friday until 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
