Maria (Hafner) Ramspott, age 88, of Rehoboth, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 15, 2017 at the Country Gardens Health & Rehabilitation Center in Swansea. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard P. Ramspott who died in 2004.
Born in Vienna, Austria on October 3, 1928, she was a loving daughter of the late Franz and Theresia (Hafner) Hafner.
Maria grew up and was educated in Vienna. She moved to the United States in 1945 and settled in Rehoboth where she served as a dedicated homemaker to her adoring family.
Mrs. Ramspott was a member of the Rehoboth Congregational Church and the Rehoboth Garden Club. She loved spending time with her family, gardening, art and classical music.
She is survived by her devoted children Thia Lord and her husband John of East Providence, Lende R. McMullen and her husband Robert of Rehoboth, Robert Paul Ramspott of New York City, and Parker DeLos Ramspott and his wife Ann of Leverett. She was the dear sister of Katherina Haver of Vienna, and is also survived by her cherished 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Services, along with burial at the Village Cemetery in Rehoboth will be held privately at the convenience of family and visiting hours have been omitted.
