NATICK: Christine Bell Fenner, age 87, a former longtime Natick resident, left this world to join her beloved husband, John Fenner, on May 8, 2017. She had resided in Erin, TN, since 2004.
Christine entered this life in Natick, the daughter of the late Pliny Nims and Eva Spurling. A graduate of the Natick Schools, she continued her education at the Peter Bent Brigham School of Nursing. Christine served the Natick community as an LPN until her retirement at age 70, primarily caring for the residents of the former Brittany Healthcare Center. She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Natick, a life member of the VFW Post 9689 Auxiliary of Erin, and a member of the Nims Family Association.
In addition to John and her parents, Christine was preceded in death by her stepfather, Charles Spurling, and her brothers, Willard, George, and Warren Nims.
Christine leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Susan Spicer and her companion Tom McClure of Douglas, and Christy Conti and her husband Gene of Erin, TN; her much loved grandchildren, Christiana Gooden and her husband David of Hillsborough, NC, Michael Conti and his wife Rebecca of Stem, NC, and Maryland Spicer of Thompson, CT; and her adored great-grandchildren, Giovanna, James, and Bodhi.
Relatives and friends may visit with Christine’s family at the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common, on Monday, May 15th beginning at 11:00AM. Her funeral procession will depart from the funeral home at 1:00PM for Wildwood Cemetery, Ashland, where Christine will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband John.
