Paul A. Letourneau, 73, died unexpectedly at his home in Caledonia on February 22, 2017, following a brief illness. Born and raised in Salem, he was the son of the late Arthur and Lillian (Dion) Letourneau.
Paul was a graduate of Salem High School, class of ‘ 62 with a certificate of superior proficiency in clerical works. Following his graduation, he joined the Navy and served stateside. He completed his tour of duty in Chicago where he received his Honorable Discharge. From Chicago, Paul went on to Michigan where he formed his own company, Service by Air in Grand Rapids Michigan, which he operated until his retirement in 2009. Paul remained in Michigan for the remainder of his life.
He leaves his sister, Patricia Lavoie of Beverly and Gloucester, two brothers, Martin of New Hampshire and Denis of Salem, two nieces, Tracy Letourneau of Peabody , Jalah Letourneau of New Hampshire, two nephews, Brett Letourneau of Salem and Marc Letourneau of Tewksbury. He also leaves several grand nieces and grand nephews, a special friend, Terri Hanson of Caledonia, MI and Bill Lanigan of Gloucester.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Ronald and Francis Letourneau.
Relatives and friends are invited to his visiting hours on Saturday, May 20, 2017, from 10:30 to 12:00 noon with his service to follow at 12 noon in the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Route 114 / 1-A] Salem.
