SPENCER: Sophie A. (Sobaleski) Latour 91, formerly of 67 Pleasant St., died Saturday, May 6.
She was married to Lawrence J. Latour for 57 years until his death in 2006. She leaves her daughter Linda L. Spencer and her husband Peter of Spencer, her son Lawrence L. Latour and his wife Lisa of Gaithersburg, MD., a brother Joseph Sobaleski and his wife Lorraine of N. Brookfield, 6 grandchildren; Sarah Roberts and her husband Todd, Eric Spencer, Lawrence J. Latour and his wife Meghan, Yvonne, Isabelle & Jacob Latour, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Born in Kankakee, IL., she was the daughter of Mikola and Kazimera (Laurix) Sobaleski. She was a member of Mary, Queen of the Rosary Parish in Spencer, and a devoted mother.
Sophie's funeral will be held on Thursday, May 11 from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. A calling hour will precede the service on Thursday from 8:30 to 9:30 am in the funeral home. Burial will be in Mary, Queen of the Rosary Cemetery, Spencer.
