Mrs. Claire C. Fortin, 78, of Methuen, passed away on May 9th at Nevins Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre with her loving family by her side. Daughter of the late Joseph and Arlette (Trudeau) Fortin. She was a homemaker, taking care of her family, and worked at the Internal Revenue Service. Mrs. Fortin taught First Holy Communion classes at St. Lucy and St. Monica parishes. She was a faithful member of Community of God Light at St. Basil Seminary, and volunteered at Holy Family Hospital for ten years. Mrs. Fortin lived to serve God, always ready to help her family and children in need. The family of Mrs. Fortin would like to take the opportunity to thank the staff at the Nevins Nursing Home for their loving care. The widow of Joseph Fortin Jr., she is survived by three daughters; Mary and her husband Jean Labrie of Manchester, NH, Linda and her husband Claude Gilbert of Maine, and Pauline Fortin Rayno of Nevada. Two sons; Joey Fortin and his wife Vicki of Kingston, NH, Francis Fortin of Berlin, NH, one brother Donald Fortin of Hampstead, NH. There are eleven grandchildren, fifteen Great-grandchildren and many extended family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to call on Monday from 9:00 am to 11:00 am am at Edgar J. Racicot Inc. Funeral Home, 1400 Broadway Rd. Dracut.
