Sheila F. (Ramsey) Swafford, 72, of Ingalls, died May 8, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis after an extended illness.
She was born in Anderson, on January 24, 1945, to Rastus Rufus and Frankie E. (Strahan) Ramsey.
Sheila was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church.
She was a homemaker.
Sheila is survived by her seven children, Angela Mayhugh, Jeffrey (Melissa) Young; Robert Miller, James Miller, Sheela Hall, Sha (Chad) Henry and Shauna Swafford; 17 grandchildren, Benjamen, Brittenee, Bryana, Jason Scott, Natalie, Nathan, Devin, Tiffany, Dylan, Shellby, Dalton, Lailee, Jurnee, Joshua, Aayden, Izzabella; brother, Alfred Ramsey, sister, Bonnie Fraley; several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Tom Swafford on Sept. 4, 2002; daughter, Cherriese; two grandsons, Justin and Jeffrey, Jr. two brothers, Roy and James.
Friends may pay their respects from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 21, 2017 at 4002 East 36th Street, Anderson, IN 46017.
Memorial contributions may be given to American Diabetes Association.
