Jonathan C. Luiz, 34, of Citrus Springs, FL formerly of Fall River died April 26, 2017.
We lost Jon while on his way to work in Gainesville FL. He had moved his family there in March in hopes of a better life. Jon spent his teen years there and wanted his family to experience the Florida life as he had.
He had worked as a painter for Lavoie & Tavares in Fall River and also had a home improvement business.
Jon's life revolved around his family and he took them on many adventures. He was a rollercoaster fanatic and took the kids fishing, kayaking, and to amusement parks every chance he got.
Jon is survived by his wife of 17 years, Marybeth "Beth" Millerick and her daughter Kaylah 18, their children, Jaiden 13, Ava 11, and Ian 5. He is the son of John and Carol Luiz and brother of Mellison Luiz of New Bedford and Jason Luiz of Citrus Springs, FL, and has many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jon was loved by all and will remain in our hearts for all time.
Visiting hours will be Wednesday, May 10th from 5-8 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford with a prayer service at the close.
