Stanley J. Brown, 74 of Bridgewater, formerly of Hanson, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday May 4th in the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth. He was the husband of Vicki (Cookson) Brown.
He was born and brought up in Hyde Park, son of the late Lester and Bernice (Beland) Brown and a graduate of Hyde Park High School, Class of 1961.
He served his country in the United States Air Force, during the Vietnam War from 1962-1966.
Stanley worked in the Union as a plumber for many years. He enjoyed traveling, golf and was an avid Pats fan.
In addition to his wife Vicki, he is survived by his daughters Paula Barbieri of Foxboro and Michelle Whelan and her husband Sean of Attleboro, his step-son Mathew Rabinovitz, his siblings William Brown of Fl., Janice Donovan of Whitman, Donna Salvucci of NH and Sharon Byrne of NH; also his grandchildren Molly Barbieri, William Wrightman, Danielle and Casey Whelan and Shelby Rabinovitz, many nieces and nephews, and his best friend Al Lyons of Whitman. He was the brother of the late Joseph, Judith, Kathleen Brown and Lynn MacDonald.
His funeral services will be held on Wednesday May 10th at 4:00PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman. Visitation will be held prior to his service from 2:00-4:00PM.
